Jamestown Elementary PTA: 2021-2022 Proposed Budget

Every September, the Jamestown PTA puts forward a recommended budget for approval by the PTA membership.  This year’s budget details can be found here.

Each year the majority of our fundraising efforts rely on two major events, the Spring Fair and the Winter Social. At this point, we hope to hold these events but anticipate changes to both which could affect our fundraising revenue. The fundraising volunteers are working hard to be creative, adding events like restaurant nights and promoting merchandise sales and merchant programs, like Amazon Smile. Becoming a member of the PTA also provides critical revenue. Please join here.

With our children back in school, the PTA plans to spend funds on instructional support for our classroom, specialty, and resource teachers. Building our community is a PTA priority as Jamestown students and staff come together again. We plan to support extracurricular activities like the School Play, Science Olympiad, and the Run Club. Social events like the Ice Cream Social, Movie Night, and the 5K are being planned as well.

Our budget shows a loss for the year, so we anticipate using our cash reserves to support Jamestown. The PTA Board supports this approach since our bank balances can support our anticipated expenses.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Shelly Heinrich (president@jamestownpta.org) or Angela Cocker (treasurer@jamestownpta.org). You may vote until 5 p.m. on Oct. 5, 2021.
