The PTA needs you!

With over 45 jobs already filled, many of your friends and neighbors are already volunteering for different jobs in the PTA.  We have a couple of critical positions that need to be filled.

We need volunteers in order to hold the auction and continue other important programs this year (and if no one steps up, it won’t happen!).  Please consider helping out.  The PTA is a volunteer organization, so no previous work experience is required! Please e-mail community-relations@jamestownpta.org if you are interested in of the vacant PTA positions below:

1.Winter Social Chair:  We need a winter social chair in order to hold the auction this year!  Wendy Noe, Fundraising Chair and Auction Chair for the last 5 years, is finally hanging up her hat. There is an auction committee already established for this year. The theme and venue are already determined. We just need a leader to help oversee it.  Wendy will teach you the ropes and give you a manual on how to run an auction.  Please volunteer so the auction won’t be cancelled!  This work takes place mostly between October and February.

2.  Winter Social Committee:  We need a few more volunteers to help with planning and running the auction.  Again, this is critical to ensuring we can hold the auction this year, so please volunteer.  This job is one year or longer with the majority of the work in January and February.

3. Reflections Coordinator: We currently have one committee leader for the Reflections Art Contest. In the past, two people have worked on this committee. Responsibilities include: publicizing the contest, collecting the art, having it judged, getting the work to the County/State levels for judging and acknowledging the winners along the way. This committee isn’t overly demanding, but it stretches from September to January.
